Harper is still getting used to her job as a Paladin and her new boyfriend, David, when an evil Ephor who tried to kill David at one point is now forcing Harper to complete a series of dangerous and unpredictable tests to prove that she’s a worthy guardian.

It includes:

• Profanity (reference to an F-word, effing, b*tch, p*ss, d*mn, and h*ll)
• Passionate kisses
• Reference to “doing other stuff” with a first boyfriend
• An ex-boyfriend cheated on his former girlfriend
• Violence (knocking someone unconscious, kicks and punches, a school is set on fire, violent hallucinations)
• Beer keg at a party
• Smoking
• A crowd of people is compared to an orgy

Much like the first book, Miss Mayhem is full of action and humor, but there is a lot more emotional drama between the characters. Fans of Rebel Belle should not be disappointed with this sequel.

  1. I didn't know that there was a new series out by Rachel Hawkins! I'm going to have to see about getting the first book in the series :)
