Book Review: Crossed (Matched Trilogy, Book 2), By Ally Condie

Crossed (Matched Trilogy, book 2)

Cassia is determined to find Ky – no matter where it takes her. She has no way of knowing that her search for him will lead her to search for something else.

Crossed continues and expands the story begun in Matched with several new characters, and an entirely new environment.

The book is told from both Cassia and Ky's point of view (a change that is interesting, although the male perspective seems to lack masculine authenticity) and contains kissing, dead bodies, and awareness of gruesome death. Like the first book, Crossed is very slow paced with lots of poetry and minimal action. For the best understanding of the series, I recommend reading Matched (Book 1) before starting Crossed (Book 2).
