Cry Wolf (Alpha & Omega, #1)Cry Wolf (Alpha & Omega, book 1)
By: Patricia Briggs
ISBN: 0441016154

Rescued from an abusive werewolf pack by Charles Cornick, a powerful dominant who now claims to be her mate, Anna learns that she is actually a rare Omega wolf. When a string of nearby killings by a rogue werewolf require her wounded mate to brave the wilderness to eliminate the threat, Anna goes too - unaware of how much danger awaits them both.

Cry Wolf is an easy and enjoyable adult read originally inspired by a short story Patricia Briggs wrote called Alpha & Omega. Because Alpha & Omega does not appear at the beginning of Cry Wolf it feels as if you missed the beginning of the story, however, you can easily grasp the gist of what happened and enjoy the tale presented without reading the original short.

Readers should be aware that this book contains:

  • nudity
  • references to past sexual abuse
  • sex scenes (detail mostly implied)
  • language
  • injuries
  • killing
  • gruesome torture of animals
  • the use of black magic

It is also set in the same world as Briggs' Mercedes Thompson series and there are a few cross over characters that fans of Mercy will most likely enjoy.
