Book Review: Touching Darkness (Midnighters, Book 2), By Scott Westerfeld

Book Review: Touching Darkness (Midnighters, Book 2), By Scott Westerfeld
Touching Darkness (Midnighters, Book 2)
By: Scott Westerfeld

The Midnighters know how to protect themselves during the secret hour, but now danger follows them all twenty-five hours a day. The Darklings are planning something terrible and with humans doing their bidding - one Midnighter may never be the same.

Touching Darkness is a heavier read than its predecessor, but flows well. Readers should be aware that it contains a boy spending the night in a girls room, kissing, physical content (bodies pressed together), Lord's name in vain, giving the bird, death, and full nudity. The story keeps you guessing and leaves you surprised. As the second book in the trilogy the ending is good, but inconclusive. I recommend having the third book on hand.

  1. Good series so far. It's one of those books that you find it hard to put down once you pick it up. A great continuation of the first book.
