Tessa traveled to London in order to live with her brother, but on her arrival she was imprisoned by strangers that knew things about her that even she did not know and would do terrible things to get what they wanted.

Clockwork Angel (book 1) is set in historical London and infused with all types of supernatural friends and foe (demons, vampires, warlocks, Shadowhunters, werewolves and more).

It contains:
  • some language
  • references to drinking, brothels, and wayward behavior
  • kissing
  • drug addiction
  • injuries
  • killing
  • references to gruesome & horrific things that had been done

Readers should be aware that while the book begins with a significant creep factor, it diffuses through out the story into a much lighter atmosphere (Similar to that seen in the Mortal Instrument series). Overall a fast paced and intriguing young adult read.

  2. This book is spectacular, excellent writing, awesome characters and a heroine to die for. Honestly, I love this more than the Mortal Instruments.

  3. Really enjoyed this book and how they ended the prequel trilogy. The characters were very well developed, and I like the way she resolved the love triangle. I hope to see Tessa in the infernal devices.
