The Battle of the Labyrinth shows an up close and personal evil, as well as mental, emotional and moral confusion in various key characters. The end result is a slightly darker and heavier book than those preceding it, but still lit with the characters, relationships and overall styling that make Percy Jackson & The Olympians so lovable. Hate, murder, power, the dead, and a touch of romance all play a part in this enjoyable forth installment.
