When Amy and Dan's grandmother died, all they hoped to inherit was a memento or maybe someplace to live. Instead her will provided them with a choice: Become instant millionaires or get the first of 39 clues leading to a powerful family secret. All decisions are final and the fate of the world may hang in the balance - no pressure.

The 39 Clues is a series of eleven books aimed at readers age 9 and up. While the individual books are written by various authors, they all continue the same story.

The Maze of Bones is a light read full of action, adventure, and mystery. Readers will find that it contains peaceful death, fist fights, bullying, threat of serious bodily harm, stealing, lying, calling someone a dweeb, and references to fart smells, but no profanity or sexuality.

  1. This sounds like a neat read...i will add it to my list for my nephew. Thanks for sharing it!

  2. I read this one not long ago. I haven't decided whether or not to continue this series. Are you continuing with the next book?

    1. Hi! It's nice to meet you, I just followed your blog. Yes, I have continued with the series. So far I've got through the first three. It's very interesting seeing how the different authors have changed the characters and their inter-relationships throughout the books.
