Rose's life was just settling down, when the massacre of a nearby Moroi family changes everything. Now, with the sudden appearance of her mother and a new woman in Dimitri's life, things are spinning out of control and Rose is spinning right along with them.

Frostbite is the second book in the Vampire Academy series.

It contains:
  • less profanity than the first book
  • vampire feedings
  • kissing
  • making out
  • sex (lead up described – actual sex not)
  • teenage drinking
  • some mildly gruesome images of dead bodies, death, killing (mentions blood, but not a whole lot else)
This is a young adult series and I recommend parental discretion with younger readers.
