Harry Dresden is a Wizard. His office is in Chicago, and his number is in the phone book. Business is typically slow, but when it rains – it pours; exploding hearts, angsty cops, demons, fairies, vampires, impending death and more.

Storm Front is an enjoyable and easy adult read, laced with a continuous stream of sexual content.

 This includes:
  • an overall sexual awareness
  • not to subtle references to arousal
  • references to past orgies
  • concurrent but non-descriptive sex
  • and various nudity
The majority of this content is implied or stated in fairly non-descriptive terms and never crosses into erotica.

The book also contains:

  • some mild language
  • cracks against the Bible
  • non-graphic injuries
  • brief description of vampire related blood extraction
  • relatively non-gory, violent death

Overall the tongue and cheek tone of the story makes for an enjoyable and engaging adult read.

While I recommend fans of the series read the books in order to grasp the overarching series plot, it is not necessary to read the books in order. The author recommends new readers start with book seven, Dead Beat as he feels that he had really hit his rhythm and gotten enough practice to put out a great product at that point.
