Book Review: Moon Called (Mercedes Thompson, Book 1), By Patricia Briggs

Moon Called (Mercedes Thompson, #1)
Moon Called (Mercedes Thompson, book 1)
By: Patricia Briggs

For Mercy Thompson – being a shape-shifter raised by a pack of werewolves has its advantages. It meant that, when Mac showed up at her auto-shop, she knew instantly what he was, but nothing could have warned her of the danger that followed him.

Moon Called is a fast paced, adult, urban fantasy full of action, investigation, just a dash of romance and a boatload of werewolves, fairies, vampires, and witches. The story is character driven, relatively short (compared to other books within the genre), and satisfying. The relationships between the characters, banter and colorful world building all make this book enjoyable.

It contains profanity, taking the Lord's name in vain, use of magic, kissing, full nudity, references to arousal, homosexuality, animal behavior (territorial, possessive of opposite sex, aggressive,
desire to kill & eat), as well as non-graphic killing and injuries.
