Book Review: The Iron King (The Iron Fey, Book One)

The Iron King (Iron Fey, #1)By: Julie Kagawa

Meghan Chase's life wasn't perfect, but in retrospect her problems were simple. That was before she started seeing things she wasn't suppose to see. Before her brother was abducted by the Fey. Before she learned that she isn't who she thought she was. Now her problems are much bigger and the outcome could save lives or end them. Will she rise to the occasion?

The Iron King is an easy Young Adult read with a fairly fast flowing story. Parents should be aware that the story contains death, injuries, some mild descriptions of violence (disembowelment,
blood spray, etc), a nude picture, kissing (on the mouth and neck), references to groping and pain related sexuality, a rape attempt, and profanity including the F word. The level of sexual content and language seemed out of place in a story aimed at such a young audience. I recommend parental discretion.
